The tourism industry in Mexico represented 8.5 % of the national GDP in 2016 and has a very high potential for application of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency measures.
With this panorama, the Mexican German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK-Mexico) organized a simposium on the 7th May at Mexico City, in which specialists from different fields presented their solutions and discussed the latest trends with a wide audience. Industrial Solar presented the latest technologies of solar thermal and cooling at the event and potential applications in the Mexican tourism industry.

Industrial Solar participated in the Chilean-German forum on small scale descentralized energy supply on the 2nd April in Santiago/Chile. The event, organized by the AHK-Chile in cooperation with the Chilean Ministry of Energy, ACERA (Chilean Association for Renewable Energy) and ACESOL (Chilean Association for Solar Energy), had the participation from experts from different sectors and showed the most recent development in the country towards its targets of increasing the share of renewables in the energy matrix and reductions in carbon emissions.
Mr. Irapua Ribeiro, business developer for Latin America made a presentation showcasing the success stories of Industrial Solar in providing clean solar heat and cooling
for industrial processes and the potential for the Chilean market.

Industrial Solar was satisfied to be mentioned as best practice by Green Cooling Initiative, we installed a Fresnel Collector field with a total capacity of 700 kW(th) to our client JTI (Japan Tobacco International). Besides process heating the solar steam also powers a double effect absorption chiller which is directly connected to the central cold supply of the facility.
Industrial Solar was present on the last 6th July on a training program provided by the Export-Akademie Baden Württemberg (EABW) for an Iranian business delegation, represented by Mr. Irapua Santos Ribeiro, business developer for the Latin America market, he covered the main types of renewables and pointed out the great solar potential in Iran, that has more than 300 days of sun in some regions. The company also presented some cases focusing on the latest implemented projects in Jordan for direct steam generation using its proprietary Fresnel technology.
Industrial Solar commissioned another Fresnel Collector field for steam generation JTI (Japan Tobacco International) in Jordan. The energy is used for process heating and to drive an absorption chiller.
Industrial Solar gave a presentation on recent developments in solar process heating at the upcoming Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2018.
